Knitting know-how and nature in a stylish new adventure for the White Sole
In the unrelenting pursuit of comfort and style we have reimagined the Open Walk Ankle Boot in extra fine merino wool. To celebrate its launch we teamed up with the news and culture website, Highsnobiety, and renowned floral stylist Ruby Barber of Studio Mary Lennox.
The setting
A meticulous researcher and a passionate advocate of creating natural sets to enhance design and creativity, Berlin-based Ruby, creates sculptural botanical medleys which seem to heed art principles of colour, theory and composition. This is her second collaboration with Loro Piana. The texture and tone created by these ever-changing organic sets make for a perfect backdrop to a shoe which is infinitely versatile and brilliantly modern.

Refining and perfecting nature’s gifts
The use of the finest merino wool to create a shoe which offers ultimate comfort and lightness is a natural move for a company renowned for its textile excellence. The shoe’s upper is crafted on specially designed looms which fashion the yarn. The special weave is then treated with Rain System technology for water repellency. Available in five shades for men and women.
